Our MST Community

Our educational objective is to nurture each child's independence, self-respect and curiosity about the world.  A young child who possesses these traits is well equipped for a life of learning and achievement.
Children at MST are guided and supported in their efforts to become educated and creative human beings.  We are proud of our excellent staff, first-rate Montessori materials and an environment that was so carefully planned and prepared that is has been described as "the most beautiful and well-prepared school" by a world renowned Montessorian.

Parents are actively involved in their children's education.  The faculty at MST respects and supports parents as the prime influence in their children's lives.

Discussion groups, parent education meetings, parent-teacher conferences, classroom observations and daily communication are some of the tools used to ensure a strong bridge between home and school.  Each family is asked to pledge at least ten volunteer hours per year to social eveents, fundraising, repairs, or administrative services at the school.

Enrollment - MST does not discriminate in admission or placement on the basis of sex, race or creed.  We believe that social, racial, religious and cultural diversity in the student body contributes greatly to the value of the school experience.

MST bases admission on a review of the application for admission and initial meeting with prospective family.  Siblings of currently enrolled students get first preference as we believe it is important to keep families together.

  I do, and I understand.”
